“A Good DoG: Everybody’s Best Friend” will enhance peace and contentment in your life by helping you identify the grace of God, or a Dose of God, in all things, all the time. Four distinct sections comprise the book’s content. The book begins with a discontented man awakening to God’s unconditional grace. In the midst of his frustration, he pauses for a moment of stillness and listens to God’s word as it speaks through his consciousness. Through the stillness emerges the good Dose of God idea. The man realizes that a good Dose of God can be found in all experiences, from the ordinary to the extraordinary. When used as an acronym for a “Dose of God,” he realizes that a good DoG is a best friend to more than just the pet lover; a Good DoG is a best friend to everyone.
The book continues with a poem titled “The ABC’s of a Good DoG” to emphasize a sample of the infinite venues through which a good Dose of God can be found. Brief descriptions and reader reflection questions accompany each verse. A section follows to explain how the reader can receive and offer a Good DoG anytime, anywhere. The final section teaches the reader how to document the good DoG experiences in his/her life. Captivating, black and white photographs supplement the written content to enhance the book’s impact.
